You can see a glimpse of the clothes line through the trees.

I don’t often shoot these sunrise shots.  We face the west, so the highlight is usually the sunset, and we often ignore the sunrise. From our view, we don’t see the morning sun hit the water.  Before now, I’m not sure why I have neglected this view.

It’s odd, I know.

but, we’ve been going around everywhere lately like this

And people just keep

staring.

I couldn’t resist.

In the winter…

and again in the summer, when it’s too cold to swim.

The quiet heartbeat of the house. It’s just me and him… cleaning up breakfast dishes, gathering laundry, getting ready for the next onslaught of chaos when everyone arrives home again.

I treasure these moments. They’re rare, but they’re the ones you remember for a lifetime.

The next time someone rolls their eyes at me when I express how sad I’ll be when all the boys are in school, I’ll just show them these pictures.
