Doing Laundry, Nibbling Pie Crust

This week’s Haiku Friday.

I bought a pie crust
couldn’t find it anywhere
I was bewildered.

Then, I found the shell
where I once found the glitter,
in the laundry room.

So, I teach the kids,
pie always tastes much better
when the shell is filled.

LOL! that is too funny. the crust can indeed be yummy by itself…especially with ice cream:-)

Haha! So it it a sweet pie crust?

I used to love eating butter and sugar creamed together. But then again I also used to occasionally eat some of the dog’s biscuit things. They were shaped like hearts or bones. They tasted pretty yukky. I don’t know what I was thinking. They lived in the laundry as well. Seems there’s lots of naughtiness to be got up to in the laundry :)

    funny happening
shared today in your Haiku …
    makes me miss my mom

    who made the best pie
crusts from scratch … when sprinkled with
    cinnamon sugar

    made a wonderful
    tasty treat we all enjoyed
on the days she ‘baked’ ;–)

    Hugs and blessings,

My 16 year old daughter was the one who ate strange things as a little one. I didn’t need to worry about her daily protein needs being met, since she enjoyed munching on dry cat food. :(

  9. Very Funny! That is definitely something my children would do!

  10. there is something to be said for plain ol’ pie crust. kinda like raw cookie dough, ya know?

  11. Jenni says:

I do love to eat homemade graham cracker crusts straight out of the oven, but my favorite is lemon meringue from scratch.

    Mmmmm

  12. very funny. nice haiku.

  13. Ugh. Really? The filling’s the best part. I leave the crust & ONLY eat the filling. That’s funny!
