Just so you know, when you do a google search on “silly putty in hair” you will find two solutions.
The first one is rubbing alcohol, or hand sanitizer. This will work, but it requires more tugging of the hair.
Much better to use the second google search solution, olive oil. Vaseline would have been cheaper, in retrospect. But more importantly, understand that silly putty needs a grease cutter. I just cut your job down from 45 minutes to 30.
I guess he was right; we were definitely not bored after this.
