A type of “ask.com”
They next time they ask, “Why is the sky blue,” or “Where do rainbows come from,” here’s the place to go. It’s a new version of ask jeeves, www.askforkids.com. You will appreciate this years to come, in elementary school when you need to find out how many square inces are in 122 feet.

I received a post from a very interesting web site, Question of the Day. One of the questions last week was “Who Have You Spoken More Openly With: Your Mom or Dad ?” (Visit the site to see the comments for the answers.) When my Mom died, one of the hardest things to accept were all of the unanswered questions. What do you wish you had asked, but didn’t, of a passing loved one? Let me know — make a list if it’s more than one item. If everyone dear to you is still here, take the list and ask those questions. I always thought there was plenty of time.
What I’m facing today: Last day of Winter Break.
1) Wet sheets on two beds to clean
2) My 5th grader’s grizzly bear needs claws and teeth attached. (We made them by wrapping the Argo cornstarch dough around wire.) We’re hoping we can attach the fangs by pushing the wire into the papre mache form. I’m afraid they’ll break, and I have a feeling we will be remaking the 10 claws and and 10 teeth via Micro paper mache. All due tomorrow.
3) Painting bear’s nose and mouth.
4) Re-directing a grumpy second grader who wants to veg out in front of the TV day.
5) Hamburgers for lunch
6) Rebuilding the train for the toddlers about 20 times today, and pushing it out of the way 3 times so I can sweep up the cereal crumbs.
Those are the highlights.
