I should work on my etiquette at track meets
“Are you laughing at that woman?”
“Yes.”
“That is just rude. Just because her pants are too tight, and you can see her underwear – you don’t laugh and point at people like that.”
“But, she’s jogging…. during the track meet… there’s a race going on.. and look – she is completely getting in the way of the race.”
“Oh. Yeah. She is. What in the heck is she doing here?”
The coach had to come over and have a talk with that lady – and get her off the track.
Still, the fact that a woman can walk into a cheering stadium, and be completely oblivious to the crowd, the racers, the gunshots and the cheers warms my heart. Somehow, I see hope and forgiveness for all of my own shortcomings. Still, I probably shouldn’t laugh. That is just rude. Still. it was pretty funny.
While the lady is missing here in my video from the track meet, (laughing too hard to film) I did manage to capture some great moments of my five-year-old attempting to leap the hurdles.
If I may, I would like to brag a bit about my video capabilities — so bear with me here, as my kids get really tired of hearing this. I picked the song, based on intuition — I just thought the sound fit. But as I watch this video now, I see many great parallels. I’ll point out what I mean. Notice the lyrics of the music “waiting for that bell to ring,” which is kind of like.. the gun for the start of the race, right? And then, again, notice that when the lyrics say, “I can feel it go down,” is exactly when he falls!! Totally random… I swear. Just happened. Then next, when my son leaves the ground, ready to leap, is exactly when the cymbals crash. Do I have talent, or what? This stuff happens all the time with my videos.

OK… yes, Susie… it’s a great video… You are clever.
Very funny… Didn’t the runners trip all over her?
I would have been laughing right along with you… cute video.
Next time, you have to shoot the woman too! I’m not convinced that laughing at people who jog in tight trousers and show their underwear is a crime against etiquette, personally…
Hiya Susie!!!!
His hurdle technique reminds me of mine! Hope you’re going well and great video skills!
So glad I popped in on this one
