Memes, I’m behind
Maybe I’m shy? Maybe I don’t like talking about me. Or maybe I’m just busy. But, today, when, Shelly tagged me for the meme, “8 Things I know,” I had a flicker of a memory that reminded me that I’m supposed to be working on another meme. Yes — (un)relaxed Dad tagged me for a meme, and I check it, and realize it’s one of those “chain blog mems.” So — I guess I broke it, and bad things are going to start happening. Hopefully, I can make amends. Then, I check my links, only to see there are more… TeaTime Ramblings tagged me for the About Me Meme. Mountain Mama tagged me for the new one word meme. (Check out her answers, here.)
So, this week, I’m catching up. First things first. I’m starting with (un)relaxed Dad.
“INSTRUCTIONS: Remove the blog in the top spot from the following list and bump everyone up one place. Then add your blog to the bottom slot, like so.”
“Next select five people to tag: (if you haven’t done it already)”
Now for the hard part — the questions: “What were you doing 10 years ago?”
Life was good. I had one baby. I had my own business, and I was knee-deep writing articles about electronic commerce for Sterling Commerce. I had time to garden back then too.
“What were you doing 1 year ago?”
Getting ready for a big trip to Idaho so my husband could do the Ironman.
“Five snacks you enjoy:”
- Walnuts
- Popcorn with balsamic vinegar. This is new — thanks to (un)relaxed Dad
- Chocolate chip cookies
- Carrot ribbons (a carrot peeled in strips,) covered in sesame seeds and balsamic vinegar
- Caribou’s Chai Latte (does that count as a snack?) Not Starbuck’s.
“Five songs to which you know all the lyrics”
- Two Lights, Five for Fighting
- Friends, by Elton John
- Hush Little Baby Don’t you Cry
- Where the Streets Have No Name, U2,
- Black Veleveteen, Lenny Kravitz
“Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:”
- Hire an Alice from the Brady Bunch so I could play with my kids.
- Hire a chef who specializes in nutrition to cook for us.
- Go shopping for new clothes and shoes at Nordstrom’s — for me — not the kids!
- Pay off my house, my Dad’s and my Brother’s.
- Buy some art.
“Five bad habits:”
- I procrastinate — hence I’m behind on memes.
- I’m cleaning all the time — not sure if that’s because it’s a habit, or because I really need to do it.
- I worry.
- I finish sentences for my children if I see they’re stuck. I’m working on this one.
- I skip lunch.
Five things you like doing:
- Writing on my blog
- Reading
- Being Alone
- Mountain Biking — the bigger the hills the better.
- Yoga
Five things you would never wear again
- Anything that doesn’t “feel right.’ I did a lot of that in Middle School — never again.
- Short shorts
- Mini skirts
- Ear Muffs
- Spit up! I’m done — no more babies.
“Five favorite toys:”
- Magix Movie Maker I love to make movies of the kids and add music - awesome.
- My Alaskan Ulu Chopping Bowl and Knife
that I won from Scribbit
- My Aura Cacia Aromatherapy Room Diffuser
It uses real, pure essential oils — not cheap imitation perfume.
- Shiva Rea - Yoga Shakti
Night after night — this DVD never fails to help me find myself again.
- Baking Soda. It’s a mom of 4 boys’ best friend. It cleans everything.
So that’s one done. More meme obligations to follow.

Oh boy…I’ve got my work cut out for me. I’m going to try to get this one done early this week…I’ll let you know when I’ve fulfilled my meme duty. Thanks for the tag!
I get behind on memes, too. Then I do them all in one monster post.
I liked your list and find we have some things in common, especially reading and alone time but vinegar on popcorn? Hmmmmm.
Spit up on shirts? Eau d’Urp. I’m glad I moved back to Chanel #5!
Cheers.
Great answers! But, you never know, spit up could make a comeback . . .
The balsamic vinegar gives popcorn an almost sweet/savory taste. Amazing. Try it just on one piece — you’ll be surprised.
Thanks for the tag! And can you please bring your “bad habit” of nonstop cleaning to my house?

Thanks for the tag Susie. I’ll pop it up in the next few days.
I meant to comment last night but I went out on a date- a hubby date- so fun! Anyway, I loved your answers and now I am curious about the Yoga Shakti DVD… I am always on the lookout for new yoga DVD’s…
xo
I’ve still got a bunch to get through. Must check out that yoga CD. Do you still have much to do with e-commerce?
CryitOut: No — not for hire. I doubt with one though, that your place could ever be as bad as mine, with 4 boys.
Mama Zen: I was thinking about that later — maybe Grandchildren. I’d make an exception.
Regina: Hope you had a fun time — yes DVD is awesome - pick and choose.
(un)relaxeddad: Shiva has great CDs that require no visuals, because she talks you through them so well. But this one is a pick and choose matrix DVD. Highly recommend it.
E-Commerce? Not lately — why?
