What does Good Friday Mean?

In the same way the Constatine influenced the celebration of Winter Solstice, Constatine also influenced the celebration of Good Friday. This day was invented by the Roman Catholic Church — after 325 BC when Constatine dictated that Easter would be celebrated on Sunday. (More on that on Easter.) Good Friday is actually a misinterpretation of a Bible Verse, Mark 15:42. You can read about it here.
But what does it mean? On Good Friday, we remember the cruel death of Jesus Christ on the Cross, and remember that he was willing to take on the sin of the world. The name may actually is “God’s Friday’ in the same way that good-bye is derived from ‘God be with ye’. “Good” was adopted because the barrier of sin was broken with Christ’s death. I leave you with a beautiful sermon Good Friday 25 March 2005 at Guildford Cathedral.
