My wife says that she has proof that my daughter is, in fact, MY daughter. The certificate from the amniocentesis says that the child is female, and “apparently normal”. My wife says that describes me, clearly.

My 12 yr old son just recently made the comment that he is glad his grandparents got married because he likes who he is and wouldn’t want to be someone different. If you knew his (our) back history that comment made all the adults at the table smile and weep at the same time.
I absolutely love those rare glimpses into what children are thinking.
