We enjoyed ours, too. Dave and I have both taken Julia out together, every year. We had more than a few people tell us, "It's nice to see kids out with their parents!" Neither of us could stand to miss it. This year, Julia giggled the whole way. It was priceless. Sounds like a lovely Halloween! We enjoyed ours, too. It was difficult to make it out of your own block that night. They used to hold trick or treat on Thursday, rather than "Halloween Day." Which, I'm not sure why they ever did it like that. But the advantage was there was no school on Friday -- so it was easier on everyone if it was a late night -- like this once could have easily been. Sounds awesome indeed. I was hoping we'd bump into your family, but we never made it more than a block in any direction. Next year, I'm donating our candy, too. We found out about it too late, and I shared your reservations about who, exactly, that candy is good for. If it brings a smile to a kid's face, then I guess it's all good.
